My name is Mr. Hennen. I grew up just down the road in Jordan, MN. After graduating from Jordan High school in 1999, I went on to the University of MN Duluth for 2 years of college. After a brief stay there, I decided I needed a change and moved on to the beautiful campus of St. John's University in Collegeville, MN. Three years later, I graduated with a BA degree in Language Arts and Literature with a minor in 5-12 Education. After student teaching at Hopkins High School and Edina's Valley View Middle School, I began applying for jobs. Shortly after, I was hired at Montgomery-Lonsdale Senior High where I spent four years teaching English 10, Public Speaking, and Pre-College English along with several other electives such as Mythology, Adolescent Literature, and College in Schools Honors Composition for the University of MN. Also during that time, I worked towards earning my M. Ed. Degree in Education, Teaching and Learning which I successfully completed in the spring of 2008. Feeling a need to expand my horizons, I applied for and accepted a teaching position here at Belle Plaine Public Schools. Needless to say, I love this district. The staff here is wonderful, the student body is excellent, and the district is growing. What more can a teacher ask for?
