Hello! My name is Michael Reynolds. I grew up in Minneapolis, but have lived in Southern Minnesota for most of the last 10 years. I earned my teaching degree from Mankato State University, and went on to teach in Waseca at the TEAM Academy Charter School. After going back to school to earn my ELL License, I was hired on by Belle Plaine to fulfill that role for the district, and to teach the varying online classes that are offered this school year.
My family currently consists of my wife (a kindergarten teacher in Hopkins), our two daughters (exchange students who are attending Belle Plaine this school year), a dog, two cats, a rat, and many fish. We moved to Belle Plaine in February of 2016, and have been loving it so far. We missed living away from the Twin Cities, and immediately felt at home in the community.
Outside of school I enjoy reading, and I am looking forward to a break from the textbooks I have been reading for my graduate classes. I also like to cook, camp, take our dog for walks, and go on the occasional road trip. I am excited for this upcoming school year, and look forward to working with students in my multiple roles.
