Our state standardized assessments, the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessments (MCA,) provide information about student achievement based on state academic standards in Math, Reading and Science.  It is one of the measures we use to provide information about instruction, programming, and the academic proficiency of our students.

Students in grades 3-8 will take the MCA in both reading and math.  Sophomores take the MCA in reading and our Juniors take the MCA in math.  State standardized science assessments are also given in grades 5, 8 and to those students enrolled in Biology (typically students in 10th grade) in high school.

Please see the Minnesota Department of Education or contact the Director of Curriculum, Assessment and Technology if you have further questions in regards to state testing.
