Early Learning Initiatives

Welcome to Belle Plaine Public Schools Early Learning Education where students explore new experiences, meet new friends, and learn and grow together with peers and parents from this top tier community.  Belle Plaine Early Learning serves all families in the Belle Plaine School District with children ages birth to kindergarten.

The early years in a child's development are some of the most critical years of brain development. From birth, you as parents play the most significant role in shaping the development of your child.  The diverse learning experiences we offer to parents and students in our early learning program prepare you and your students at the highest level to begin their journey of success in the Belle Plaine Public School District.

We offer a variety of classes that provide information, encouragement and support for parents and their children.  You, ultimately are your child's first and most significant teacher.

The mission of the Early Learning Program is to strengthen families and support all parents in providing the best possible environment for the healthy growth and development of their children.  Our goals are:

  • To help families meet the challenge of parenting by providing information, friendship and support;

  • To provide opportunities for children to discover and learn during the important early years of life;

  • To offer information about child development and parenting techniques;

  • To promote positive and realistic attitudes and expectations about raising children;

  • To provide information on community resources for families.

Class listings are found in the Community Education brochure.  If you have not received a brochure please call (952) 873-2411.  To register for classes please go to www.belleplaine.k12.mn.us
